Sadly, a significant number of our cherished childhood icons, the luminaries who shaped our early years, have left us.

Image
During my youth, I frequently tuned in to the show Laverne & Shirley—a timeless sitcom that etched itself into the hearts of many. And among the cast, the unforgettable portrayal of Shirley Feeney was brought to life by none other than actress Cindy Williams. However, it is with great sorrow that we acknowledge Cindy’s passing earlier this year, a loss that struck deeply within the hearts of those who admired her. Williams died of a “brief illness” in Los Angeles on January 25, according to a statement released by her children, Zak and Emily Hudson. “The passing of our kind, hilarious mother, Cindy Williams, has brought us insurmountable sadness that could never truly be expressed,” the statement reads, per AP. “Knowing and loving her has been our joy and privilege. She was one of a kind, beautiful, generous and possessed a brilliant sense of humor and a glittering spirit that everyone loved.” s_bukley / Shutterstock.com Born in Los Angeles on August 22, 1947, Williams’ career bega...

Man Who Stole A Set of Goats Have Been Captvred and Str!pped N@ked To Be Bvrnt Alive -

Image
Following accusations that he had stolen a goat during the Sallah celebrations, a man was recently stripped naked in a scene known to Nigerians as "Jungle Justice." Is this the appropriate approach to handle such an issue, even though the sender of these photos, who is anonymous, did not identify the offender or specify which area of Lagos was involved? Some have claimed that this is the wisest course of action because people still want to take the chance of stealing and damn the consequences rather than learn from prior mistakes, such as the ALUU Boys. My husband banned me from entering one room in our house, and I could not stop crying when I saw what was there.

Image
Alexis’ parents’ long-running bakery began to lose customers since they were unable to keep up with new trends and remained traditional. As things became more bleak, they planned a wedding for their daughter. Alexis was about to marry a man she had never met before. Robert was a wealthy man, yet he was quite frigid. The two seldom spoke to one another, yet their wedding was lavish. The wedding planner took care of everything, including the smallest of details. It was a picture-perfect day. Alexis donned a gown that most ladies can only dream of, but she and her husband felt like complete strangers, which was exactly what they were. A few days before the wedding ceremony, Robert told Alexis, “I’m looking forward to being married. But I’m not sure what I’m doing,” and that was the closest he’d come to allowing her in. After the wedding, the couple moved into Robert’s home. It was more of a mansion, with many rooms, each more elegantly designed and furnished than the other. “Come, I’ll sh...

The Disturbing Case Of Dennis DePue — And The Murder That Inspired The Opening Of ‘Jeepers Creepers’

Image
Dennis DePue brutally murdered his wife Marilynn in April 1990 — and when a passing couple saw him trying to hide the body, a terrifying chase ensued. Dennis Depue Dennis Depue and his wife, Marilynn, in an undated photo. On Easter Sunday, April 15, 1990, Ray and Marie Thornton were on a traditional weekend drive along Snow Prairie Road, a rural highway 12 miles outside Coldwater, Michigan. In their rear-view mirror, a Chevrolet van suddenly appeared, driving aggressively, before overtaking them. The couple had been playing a game of making slogans from the license plates of passing cars, so when the van sped past, Marie saw the plate beginning ‘GZ’ and remarked, “Geez he’s in a hurry.” As they approached an abandoned schoolhouse, the Thorntons saw the same van parked to the side of the building — then Marie caught a disturbing sight. The driver was holding what appeared to be a bloody sheet and walking toward the rear of the schoolhouse. Marie, although shocked, was not quite sure wha...

The picture, taken in the northern Syrian city of Raqa, was posted on the Twitter account of Khaled Sharrouf. A shocking image of what is believed to be the young son of an Australian man holding a decapitated head in Syria showed how barbaric the Islamic State (IS) “terrorist army” is, Prime Minister Tony Abbott said on Monday. Abbott made the comment while announcing Australia would likely join humanitarian airdrops and even airlifts of endangered civilians threatened by Sunni extremist ISIS militants in a barren northern Iraqi mountain range, possibly later this week. The picture, taken in the northern Syrian city of Raqa, was posted on the Twitter account of Khaled Sharrouf, an Australian man who fled to Syria last year and is now an IS fighter, The Australian newspaper said. The Terrible Execution That is implemented on Those Who go Against The Law Back In History

Image
Impalement, as a method of torture and execution, is the penetration of a human by an object such as a stake, pole, spear, or hook, often by the complete or partial perforation of the torso.  It was particularly used in response to "crimes against the state" and regarded across a number of cultures as a very harsh form of capital punishment and recorded in myth and art. Impalement was also used during times of war to suppress rebellions, punish traitors or collaborators, and punish breaches of military discipline. Engraving by Justus Lipsius of a vertical impalement Offences where impalement was occasionally employed included contempt for the state's responsibility for safe roads and trade routes by committing highway robbery or grave robbery, violating state policies or monopolies, or subverting standards for trade. Offenders have also been impaled for a variety of cultural, sexual, and religious reasons. References to impalement in Babylonia and the Neo-Assyrian Empire ...

The invaders faced off against the poorly equipped locals who lost over half of their army in the battle. The dead fighters were buried in mass graves with their chain mail, gloves and weapons.  Five mass graves were excavated in the 20th century outside Visby's walls from the medevial battle. The skeletons,  chain mail and weapons were all remarkably preserved. A permanent exhibit with some of  the soldiers remains and their armour is now in the Swedish History Museum.

Woman Lets Her Dog Poop on The Airport Floor & Rudely Orders Staff to Clean It So I Taught Her an Unforgettable Lesson

Image
“We witnessed everything. “It is not your fault.” He nodded thanks and hurried out, most likely to locate someone who could deal with the mess. My blood boiled. Who did this woman believe she was? I approached the mess, advising everyone to be cautious. A compassionate stranger went to find a maintenance worker. “Can you believe that?” I asked the man who had attempted to alert the woman earlier. He shakes his head. “Flying with pets is a privilege, not an entitlement. Some people simply don’t get it. “I’m Nora,” I introduced myself, offering my hand. “Jasper,” he said, shaking it. “Heading somewhere nice?” “I’m going to London to work. You?” The entitled woman was sitting at my fence, her dog barking constantly. As if it wasn’t terrible enough, she was playing music on her phone without headphones. Other passengers were leaving, but I had a different plan. I sat down immediately beside her. “Are you going to Tokyo on business?” I inquired, assuming a polite tone. For illustrativ...

INSIDE THE DISAPPEARANCE OF TARA CALICO AND THE FRIGHTENING PHOTOS LEFT BEHIND

Image
Inside The Disappearance Of Tara Calico And The Frightening Photos Left Behind Tara Calico disappeared in Belen, New Mexico on September 20, 1988. A year later, two Polaroids of a tied-up woman were discovered in Florida — was it her? On the morning of September 20, 1988, 19-year-old Tara Calico left her home in Valencia County, New Mexico, to go for her daily bike ride. Her route, along New Mexico State Road 47, was the same every day. Her mother, Patty Doel, knew it well because the pair of them often traveled it together. Lately, though, Patty had been skipping rides. A recent incident in which a car drove aggressively close to her — deliberately passing her multiple times — had made her nervous and less inclined to ride. Tara, however, continued the tradition, cheerfully refusing her mother’s suggestion that she carry mace. It was the same sunny stretch she had been riding for years, and nothing bad had ever happened. As she headed out the door, Tara jokingly told her mother t...

While on the Beach with My Husband, a Woman Ran Up, Knelt, and Said His Name

Image
Just as John and I were enjoying our anniversary bliss on the beach, a woman in a swimsuit approached him, bent down, and spoke his name. My heart has stopped. Who was she, and what did she want from my husband? I had no idea that day would bring me to tears. “JOHN… Please do not abandon me. John!” I shrieked, startled awake in an empty bed. My pulse raced as I realized I was having a nightmare. My name is Rosa, and I just had the worst dream ever. My husband John had left me in a tropical paradise, surrounded by turquoise waters and waving palm palms. As the morning sun shone through the curtains, I struggled to shake my unpleasant feeling. “Rosa? Are you okay? John’s voice came from the hallway. He appeared at the doorway with a concerned expression on his face. I breathed out a sigh of relief. “Yes, that was only a bad dream. “What time is it?” “It’s almost nine. “I made coffee,” he added, smiling. “Oh, and happy anniversary, sweetheart.” For illustrative purpose only. THE WORST AND TERRIBLE EXECUTION OF JAMES BERRY OF HECKMONDWIKE YORKSHIRE .......

Image
James Berry of Heckmondwike Yorkshire (1852-1913). Period on Home Office List - 1884-1891. James Berry was born on the 8th of February 1852.  He carried out a total of 130 hangings, including those of five women and that of John Lee (see below).  He was the first British executioner to write his memoirs, "My Experiences as an Executioner" which is still available in libraries and also on line. He was, like Marwood, proud of his calling and both had their own waxworks in Madame Tussauds.  Berry had previously been a policeman in Bradford and had met Marwood and became acquainted with his methods.  He worked in England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales, but strangely not in his native Yorkshire, where James Billington always got the job.   His seven years in office were not without event. His first commission was the double hanging of William Innes and Robert Vickers at Edinburgh’s Calton prison on the 31st of March 1884. Innes and Vickers were two poachers who ha...

HERE ARE SOME COLLECTION OF PHOTOS SHOWING AMERICAN WAR DEAD FROM WWII

Image
Most of these photos were taken mere hours after their deaths, and the others taken days after their death. Perhaps after the bodies had been discovered I have been curious about these photos for a long time, considering most photos showing American War dead were never released for - more than likely - propaganda reasons. I have chosen not to publicly identify these men in the pictures out of respect for their families. However, if you are curious, please private message me regarding which image assuming they are identified. 4th to last picture. I believe that soldier belongs to the 37th Infantry division I think he was KIA on Bougainville I read that somewhere with that picture The 15th photo is the famous war corespondent Ernie Pyle. He was lost during the Okinawa campaign on the island of Il shima. He was visiting the front riding in a Jeep when he came under machine gun fire and he jumped with the other occupants into a road side ditch While in the ditch and for some reason he deci...

THE VICTIM WAS BROUGHT OUT FROM A SHED AND LED STRUGGLING TO A CHAIR TO WHICH JE WAS THEN BOUND.

Image
“We marched to the quarry outside Staples at dawn.  The victim was brought out from a shed and led struggling to a chair to which he was then bound, and a white handkerchief placed over his heart as our target area. He was said to have fled in the face of the enemy. Mortified by the sight of the poor wretch tugging at his bonds, twelve of us, on the order raised our rifles unsteadily. Some of the men, unable to face the ordeal, had got themselves drunk overnight.  They could not have aimed straight if they tried, and, contrary to popular belief, all twelve rifles were loaded. The condemned man had also been plied with whisky during the night, but I remained sober through fear. The tears were rolling down my cheeks as he went on attempting to free himself from the ropes attaching him to the chair. I aimed blindly and when the gun smoke had cleared away, we were further horrified to see that, although wounded, the intended victim was still alive. Still blindfolded, he was ...

This Warrior’s Hands Were Cut Off – So He Replaced Them With Knives And Sought Revenge

Image
Galvarino was heralded as a fearsome warrior, though it probably had something to do with the sharpened knives secured to the ends of his arms where his hands used to be.  CommonsA depiction of Galvarino just after the Spanish cut off his hands. Galvarino was the Mapuche’s version of William Wallace. A chieftain and warrior, Galvarino sought to free his people from Spanish domination in the mid-1500s. The Mapuche inhabited present-day Chile and much of Argentina in the 1500s when the Spanish conquered the Incas with their superior forces and firepower. After the Spanish conquered Peru, they turned their attention to the rest of the continent. The Spanish then met the Mapuche. From 1536 to the early 1800s, the Mapuche fought the Spanish as part of the Arauco War that lasted more than 250 years. The Origin Of The Legend Of Galvarino The legend of Galvarino likely kept the Mapuche in the war much longer than anticipated. The Mapuche still exist today, unlike the Aztecs and Incas who w...

My MIL Insisted on Being Present for My Home Birth — But Then She Slipped Out of the Room, and I Heard Strange Voices Outside

Image
My mother-in-law insisted on helping with my home birth, but something felt terribly wrong as she kept slipping out. The moment she left the room again, I heard unsettling voices outside. When I saw what it was, I froze. The moment I told Josh I wanted a home birth, his eyes lit up like a kid on Christmas morning. But it was nothing compared to the reaction we got from his mother, Elizabeth. You’d think we’d just handed her the keys to a brand-new car. A pregnant couple sitting on a wooden bench | Source: Unsplash A pregnant couple sitting on a wooden bench | Source: Unsplash “Oh, Nancy! This is wonderful news!” Elizabeth gushed, clasping her hands together. “I simply must be there to support you both. I can help with anything you need!” I exchanged a glance with Josh, my eyebrows raised. His shrug told me he was leaving this one up to me. “I don’t know, Elizabeth,” I said, my voice hesitant. “It’s going to be pretty intense.” She waved off my concerns. “Nonsense! I’ve been through it ...
